Kiel, Wisconsin (pop. 3,650) is a thriving community in Eastern Wisconsin that prides itself in progress while maintaining the values of small town living.

Kiel is located in the southwestern portion of Manitowoc County in the rolling hills of Wisconsin's countryside and is ideally located between Manitowoc, Fond du Lac, and Appleton markets. It is located an hour from Milwaukee (65 miles) and two and a half hours from Chicago (154 miles).

Sargento, a nationally recognized cheese producer is adding a 60,000 sq ft addition estimated to cost between $6 and $8 million. Sargento will add 100 employees over the next 3 to 5 years.

Stoelting, a manufacturer of food equipment, and Polar Ware, a quality maker of stainless steel components have combined their facilities. Polar Ware has expanded the Stoelting plant by 100,000 sq ft addition worth an estimated $7 million and will add 100 jobs.

Amerequip recently spent $3.5 million improving its facilities and hired 30 employees.

Construction value in 2004-2005 increased by 2.909 percent with a value of $5,420,100.
